When undergoing a (Breast Reduction)procedure, a certain amount of glandular tissue is removed, whereas (Breast Lift) surgery does not involve removing the same amount of glandular tissue as in breast reduction.

The difference between breast lift surgery and breast reduction surgery

Both breast lift and breast reduction surgeries require incisions to be made in the treatment area.

When undergoing a breast lift, the surgeon works with the patient to determine the new position for the nipple. This means that the incision will be made around the nipple area.

Skin is removed from the area where the nipple will be lifted to, and then an incision is made in specific areas surrounding the new nipple position in order to remove everything beneath it.

To explain further, incisions are made in the shape of arms on the breast, and these arms are joined at the bottom of the breast, to create an anchor shape.

So for breast reduction surgery, the surgeon follows the same steps as above, which results in breast reduction.

In most breast lift and some breast reduction procedures, silicone implants may be used to enhance breast projection. Without implants, the upper part of the breast may appear less prominent.

As we mentioned, the difference between these two procedures is in the amount of removed glandular tissues.
